Johannesburg - The Hawks confirmed on Wednesday that several arrests were being made regarding the unit's investigation into a R255 million Free State asbestos tender from 2014.
Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said arrests of seven individuals were being conducted in three provinces, Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape.
Maybe they are also asking themselves the same question. I think the first prize is to never get arrested and charged, that's what uBaba taught us, there's too much uncertainty when you are charged and have to appear before some WMC court, anything can happen. But, will anyone go to jail ?![]()
Zupta will undo any progress made once they take over in the next few yearsGo you beautiful raptors go!
Just start nabbing these criminals and place them before the NPA - we hope the NPA has a solid case against them. Hopefully this is the domino effect that SA needs and maybe those big corrupt fishies will start sweating

I have zero doubt that it would happen should the Zupta cronies take control...Zupta will undo any progress made once they take over in the next few years
Oh **** off. What evidence do you have of such a ridiculous claim?
that is my question too!!But, will anyone go to jail ?![]()
This is good.
Even if you only arrest and jail the officials and tenderpreuners it should still go a long way to making politicians think twice before dipping in the cookie jar. And tenderpreuners will be wary of corruption if they know they'll be the fall guys.
Don't say that too loudly on here. A lot of people on this forum want to see SA burn; just so they can tell us they told us so. There is no such thing as "Good news" or "A step in the right direction" in their eyes.
