The "Hum" being heard around the world

Its just there to tell people who say the world is going to end, that its not going to happen as everything is running fine.

"The hum" they are talking about on that bbc article has absolutely nothing to do with those videos, and is a completely different "phenomenon".
So how do you discount the rest?

Funny that this "hoax" are well documented and were also covered on BBC. It's out there but the cause is the question. Many were identified with a cause. Others not.

News stations have also covered sightings of the Virgin Mary, statues that weep blood, and alien abductions. I'll stick with hoax in this particular instance. Other "hum" stories have natural explanations, e.g. cooling towers. All the recent 2012 Youtube hums? Ho hum hoax.
