Well with today being SA's first game it will be very interesting to see what sort of batting line up we go with . There still seems to be talk coming out of the SA camp that AB will open with space for only one of De Kock or Amla , so it will be interesting to see which way SA goes . Really tough choice on either of Amla or De Kock if they get left out as they are both in really good form currently .

Personally I hope sanity prevails and De Kock and Amla open with AB to come in at no 3 or 4 (depending on when the first wicket falls) .

My team for today and for most of the tournament :
1)De Kock
2)Amla
3)FaF/AB
4)AB/FaF
5)Miller
6)JP
7)Wiese
8)Morris
9)Rabada
10)Steyn
11)Tahir

That is a strong line up and probably the most sensible since it's our best team...only Abbott does deserve a spot there somewhere so the question is who do you leave out, that's actually the tough question for us...leaving out one of our three best batsmen is a stupid question to ask and one has to wonder if Faf is being selfish by not wanting to move himself one down the order, but then again Ab at 4 is dangerous also since he does well at the late stages of an innings so still no need to choose between Hashim and de cock who are both excellent players of spin.

Totally agree , I cant believe that SA are still undecided as to the batting line up a day before the game starts (at yesterdays press conference) . Surely you play your strongest batsmen and if FaF seriously wants to win the Cup , well then he moves to 4 (if needed) . Both Amla and De Kock are specialist openers who are used to dealing with the new ball , why risk AB getting out in the first couple of overs when you already have two established openers (both in great form) .Just seems that sometimes SA over think things when the solution is pretty simple .

Abbot will be unlucky , it is a pity JP's bowling has gone off the boil , a couple of years back and he would have been relied upon for at least 2 overs if not a full quota of 4 overs in T20's in India . The only way I can see Abbot getting in is if they leave out one of either Morris or Wiese ,which may not be a bad move in some matches particularly if the opposition has a very strong batting line up . It would just mean that our top 4 would have to score the bulk of the runs as we would only bat down to number 7 realistically then .

I think that England will go all out today with a point to prove after they were beaten by the West Indies ( Well by Chris Gayle in essence) . I just hope SA don't go in over confident and that they take their chances (No drop catches) and that our bowling coaches have sorted out the wides and No balls in our bowling attack which has been a bit of a problem of late .

In a game format where 8/10 games the bowlers are going to go for runs regardless, not playing your best batting lineup is suicide.

Seems the rainforecast was wrong and the nz vs aus game should be ok.

I expect performance from abd today. He loves Mumbai

Disappointing crowd in for what is arguably the 2 best teams in the cup.

NZ finish on 142/8 after being 58/0 after the power play. Looks not enough though the pitch is slow. Hope they can control the power play when they bowl....could be a tight one.

It isn't a tall order to chase, but may just be enough to defend and/or cause a wobble or two. Go NZ!
