The impressive performance of SA's top ISP

Cool Ideas continues to dominate South Africa’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) rankings with a customer satisfaction score of 88%, significantly higher than its closest competitors.

The Q1 2021 South African broadband and ISP report was released this week which provides insight into the performance of service providers in South Africa.

The data for the report was collected using MyBroadband’s mobile apps and web-based speed test portals.

Agreed. No big fanfare or corporate strategies. Just doing things well and ensuring their clients get a great service. Many companies can learn from them.

Afrihost and Cybersmart also deserve credit. They have been sitting at the top for the past year as well.

well deserved! now branch into the UK market :whistling:

Rain’s low customer satisfaction rating is a result of two factors – poor network performance and lacking client support.

Obviously there's a corellation between poor network performance and client support.

Best service is the company where the customer rarely have to contact support.

If Rain just fixed their network, their support issue would probably improve as well.

That being said, since I got Fibre installed (Openserve) via Afrihost, I haven't had to contact support at all.
The more technical questions I had, I just contacted @AfriNatic on the forum and he'd explain everything.

Congrats CISP! Very much looking forward to signing up in the next year or two

Surprised at sub 20mbps average. I guess loads of ADSL out there still

Reminds me of a one sided discussion a few weeks ago:

If I were to ever change, CISP would be my number 1 and if that fails, back to Webafrica.

All this due to my "experiance"

Might be looking at them when I want to move off Vox.

Congrats CISP. Will look at you when my WebAfrica term is up later this year

I'm interested to know who your ISP is?

I'm with afrihost and love having @AfriNatic for support, he's literally the only reason I haven't jumped to CISP yet since both their networks are (usually) superb

@PBCool and @TheRoDent's constant presence on the forum makes me confident they have their ears to the ground  imagine having owners listening to customers directly... a dream for any customer really
