Dark web and crypto to the rescue, I predict. Although, they’ll inevitably try and outlaw those as well, I guess. I have a feeling that this will all spur renewed interest in technologies like tor. I foresee a divergence into a mainstream commercial web monopolized and controlled by the big corporates and a growing alternate web beyond the reaches of regulators.

Really short sighted this type of law making...

Yip. EU wants real-time control what can be published on the Internet. The easiest way to do it is to eliminate small players. It is easier to force compliance on big players.

Actually, this is probably exactly what the big players want, they probably even lobbied for it. It dramatically decreases the chances of disruption from smaller upstarts.
