Imported a phone and it landed in jhb. Gave them the tracking no and picture of tracking to joburg.... it disappeared.
Investigation promised but no feedback. I tried several times renew contact

We are very excited to see where the parcel ends up next, as we are confident it won’t be at its intended destination — our office.
:laugh::ROFL:

Well done. Fifty Rands to you with compliments of Absa's Maxispaar.

From the previous article:
SA Post Office spokesperson Johan Kruger told MyBroadband they are switching to a new service provider for their mail transport vehicles.

“This process should be complete by 1 April 2022. That will restore our service to normal levels,” he said.

SAPO has become really hopeless for deliveries. Last year I received a small package, and it felt right when I took it at the counter (I should have opened it right there) but when I got home I found a small post office weight inside and my item was stolen. This year my wife needed her YouTube channel verified, and three times over, Google mailed the verification letter to our home address. Only two of the three letters arrived, and both took over a month, by which time the verification codes had expired. It was just hopeless. SAPO should LOSE their license/monopoly for postal deliveries in SA.

Instead they are trying to make it go the other way... force people to use SAPO for small packages.

I ordered some stuff off aliexpress that I couldn't find in SA a few months back. Like usual they split the order into a number of packages 4 in this case with the exact same postal address on them.

Low and behold sapo managed to ship the items to 3 different post offices around Pretoria. At least the lines were short for all three of the post offices I walked straight to the counter and got my packages.

My parcel was shipped , stayed in the postoffice hands
Paid customs
Only to find out half the parcel’s content was stolen.
Opened a case
Had to give the items that was still in the parcel back to the post office.
Three weeks later.
Nothing.

I purposely bought from a company that shipped with Dhl.. only to find out that it is only in DHL’s hands until it arrives in the country then it was given toe the po@skantoor.

What can we do?
F all cause the customs are still handled by the thieves

So much more too loot.
Disgusting.

I was considering opening a case at the police office against the po@skantoor.
But would it even help?

Used to import several items per week, pay my duties and everyone was a winner. Also sold overseas and shipped weekly.
Been many years since I have done either of those since the PO became a bunch of thieving and unreliable bastards.
So now they gain nothing from me. I hope they rot.
If they just offered a basic and decent service they would be raking in the money. They deserve everything they get.

If OurPeople™ were forced to use SAPO, they could increase the delivery rate by 20%.

Makes sense. :giggle:

Racist. How would the poor African child get their mail without a democratically controlled state owned entity doing it?

This article made for much mirth.

MyBroadband contacted the Post Office for comment, and it said it would investigate where our package has got to.

We are also very excited to see what other travels it does. Please update us soonest. Also what the response from the Post Office is regarding their "investigation", we need another good laugh.
