What's up with all the clouds in the Highveld this time of year?

I'm used to winters with a flou winter-sonnetjie....

The normal winter cold fronts are completely missing Cape Town this month (zero rain so far in June). Some weak troughs are passing far inland over the interior, and the rest are far offshore to the South.

Probably something to do with the jet-stream upper-level winds, or La Nina...

Yeah is weird, our complex street lights have turned on and off like 4 times today.

Luckily it's keeping the minimum nighttime temps up and keeping the Frost away so my garden is not complaining.

Apparently when the Atlantic throws a rain storm and it misses CT it hits JHB cause we have had rain a few days now in June. Really unusual weather.
