Ran the aircon today for the first time in months.
Can also do with a proper thunderstorm at this point.
Cleaned the filters before you ran the AC?
Build up of the typical summer season moisture in the tropics starting.

I cannot wait for the first proper highveld thunderstorm

I’m desperate. The pool is so low I can barely run the pump. I harvest rain water so a decent down pour fills her up quickly. Been ages since I done a backwash and I’m reluctant to top up from the tap... conundrum...

No I didn't.

It was installed earlier this year and not used a lot yet (and not at all in the Winter) - is it still necessary?

Sorry, first aircon I owe in my life.

Shouldn't have let it get so low? Why are you hesitant to top up from the tap? I had to refill my pool after it was drained to fix it and that only cost R3000 to refill it from empty. Normally a top up here or there a month is maybe a 2kl, if you do it regularly.

There's a line of storms E/SE of Gunteng all the way to the coast but doesn't seem like we're likely to get any action this time.
