In this mornings satellite picture you can see the center of the cutoff low moving over the intersection of the NC, FS & EC. And the incoming front pushing up against it by CPT

That correlates with ambientweather.net's prediction of rain tonight.

Moist air coming in, when it drops below dewpoint, there is rain.

Bland and depressing is months of brown horizons from smog, brown foliage and a deceptively cloudless sky enticing me to be outdoors when actually being outdoors sucks because the sun's power dial is set to one or it's night time in which case it's frigid.

A bit of rain at least changes things up and takes that dry burn out of the air. Fear not though, it's already looking like we've reverted to the norm.
