so when does it finally rain? next year?

8 weeks before people start saying if others like the rain so much they should fsck off to England.

Seriously though, loving the cool break from the heat. Makes for good productivity and ability to focus on work for longer than 10 minutes at a stretch.

Yes! Once in a while it has its uses, even afternoon showers are manageable.

But if it stays out for 2 months continuously then the rain lovers can fark off...

The weather is looking for rain today. Time for a nekkid rain dance to make it so.

I wonder if they realise that usage might actually spike when they increase the stage on a cloudy day as everyone decides to charge up their batteries.

Had a light rain last night in Garsfontein, probably around midnight. Enough to wet the pavement a bit but not enough to trigger my rain meter (although I might test it to make sure it still works).

Sigh hopefully I need my pool topped up so I can balance it, seems the sun last week really threw it for a whack all balances are out and it's green

Eskom hates people like you (and me, for that matter).

I'm honestly looking at this whole situation (Stage 2 --> Stage 4 at 5:30 in the morning with very little solar yield) and wondering if I shouldn't just switch over to "keep batteries at 100%"...

Load shedding already has that effect, demand is actually higher as everyone switches over to batteries during the shed and 2 hours later it's back to grid the batteries charge.
They don't care, it's the bigger companies on generators that now need to look at costs of those monsters
