The most affordable 100Mbps uncapped fibre packages in South Africa

Why do you show these articles to RAIN users who cannot get FIbre:crying::). It's like dangling a carrot...u know that right... ??

Afrihost does not impose a Fair use policy on the Pure Fibre packages. (The only fibre Afrihost provides is Pure Fibre all clients on legacy packages has been moved to Pure Fibre) That info is incorrect. The Axxess one is also incorrect. You quoted FUP from Legacy packages which no longer exist. ;)

What about other FNO's? There is definitely more then two FNOs in South Africa.

As stated in the article;

We compared 100Mbps fibre packages available from the two biggest FNOs in South Africa – Openserve and Vumatel – to see which offers the best prices for these packages.

Was just about to say the same thing

Mind the speed not here. On Vumatel at 1140 they are the third cheapest.

The most affordable 100Mbps uncapped fibre packages in South Africa

A high-speed fibre connection offers the fastest and most reliable way to enjoy the benefits of online connectivity.

Fibre network operators are also expanding their footprints beyond major metropolitan areas and are moving in on smaller cities and towns, making these connections more accessible.
WA also has Asynchronous packages on 100Mb with Vumatel: 100Mbdown/5Mb up for R 1099

Why only show the synchronous packages?

Consumers should also note the Fair Usage Policy of these packages, which determines whether a connection may be throttled when a data usage threshold has been reached.

The 300GB FUP of:
Axxess 300GB
Webafrica 300GB
Afrihost 300GB - EDIT: Article is wrong
300GB FUP is low for a 100Mbps line - just looking for trouble,
and even the 1TB FUP
MWEB 1TB
Home Connect 1TB
Vox 1TB
seems a bit low with a 100Mbps line with HD/4K content, games being +100GB in size

Wouldn't work for my usage:

EDIT: Afrihost Pure Fibre has not limit

A great weekend to everybody!

Just confirming what cavedog and dalmine007 said above:

There are no usage thresholds on any of our Afrihost Pure Fibre packages. No data threshold or usage limits. No shaping.

Our old legacy Fibre packages had thresholds but all clients are now on Pure Fibre (and if you’re not for some reason you can go and change in your ClientZone or App)

Have a great day

Gian

Hey System32 - Just a heads up: They made a mistake in this article. Afrihost Pure Fibre doesn’t have any usage or data thresholds or limits. Thanks

You think?

Let me put this into perspective for you,I'm currently paying R850 pm to Telkom for a stupid 10mb line with 2mb upload speed!

Well if you're on ADSL your point is moot. ADSL is not fibre.

If you're on fibre, then you're a fool for paying those prices.

Well by the looks of it Vumatel is intent on becoming the new Telkom and will slowly but surely increase prices as they have been doing,a typical bait and switch tactic.

Rupert didn't become a billionaire by giving people things for cheap after all! :D

VOX on vumatel 100meg line does not have a fair usage policy

Check they now have a 20mb down for R699.

With Afrihost since many moons ago. Currently on a 10 Mbps service and averall happy with them, looking at the prices and contemplating a move to Mweb's 100 Mbps service for about R 300 more. Will it be wise to make the move?
