The most affordable 100Mbps uncapped fibre packages in South Africa

Check they now have a 20mb down for R699.

1.20mbps VDSL was available 2 months ago in my area when I checked, now since their lower rates started when I check and call them conveniently it's not available even though my router stats clearly show I can actually get 19mbps on adsl, but the dumb robots working at Telkom say they can only follow what the system says!

2.They won't allow me to change my package to the R599-00 10mbps package because "it's not allowed".I have to cancel and sign up again which which mean up to 2 months of downtime because that's how long this useless company called Telkom took to connect my line when I moved house last year.

3.I'm not gonna go through all that to save a few hundred rands, because Vumu is trenching for fibre in my area currently which should be live by august so for now I'm gonna ride out Telkoms incompetence.

+1

The 300GB FUP of:
Axxess 300GB
Webafrica 300GB
Afrihost 300GB - EDIT: Article is wrong
300GB FUP is low for a 100Mbps line - just looking for trouble,
and even the 1TB FUP
MWEB 1TB
Home Connect 1TB
Vox 1TB
seems a bit low with a 100Mbps line with HD/4K content, games being +100GB in size

Wouldn't work for my usage:

[vnstat] - family of 4, Netflix, Games, Youtube, CatchUp - no BT.

EDIT: Afrihost Pure Fibre has not limit

They are crazy to add a 300Gb FUP on there, I have 20Mb and stream mostly, average 500Gb a month

I’m paying R610 for an 100/50mbps Openserve line + 300gb data (12am-6am uncapped)... I guess that’s not too bad
