The most hijacked cars in South Africa

The company lists the most-hijacked vehicles as:

VW Polo – Passenger vehicle
Toyota Fortuner – SUV
Ford – Third most-targeted manufacturer

Using data from Arrive Alive, Ctrack listed the top five hijacking hotspots in the top three most hijacked provinces:

Gauteng:
Honeydew
Booysens
Roodepoort
Linden
Brooklyn

KwaZulu-Natal:
Berea
Durban Central
Phoenix
Umbilo
Chatsworth

Western Cape:
Bellville
Cape Town
Mitchells Plain
Parow
Woodstock
 
Doesn't make sense, the VW Polo is notoriously easy to break into and steal, why risk getting shot by the owner / driver while you hijack something you can just steal from your nearest mall parking lot?!?

Can't be Booysens in Pretoria. Unless it's Datsuns and Ford Cortinas they high jacking :p :D
 
and where in Brooklyn are they referring to? Can't say that I've heard of many hijackings in this area.

And who the **** is getting hijacked in Linden? Are they stealing monocycles from hipsters when they stop to get some artisinal falafel?

Same with the Toyota Fortuner, super easy to steel or the previous generation one anyway, don't know about the newest shape.

How does Ctrack arrive at 'most' hijacked? Polos and Fortuners are dime a dozen on the roads. If they didn't use percentage of vehicles hijacked to total number on the road, then this hinges on being sensationalist.
