The most popular browsers and operating systems for PCs and smartphones

NetMarketShare data for August 2018 shows that Google Chrome remains the most popular browser on PC and mobile, while Windows 7 remains slightly ahead of Windows 10 in the OS desktop scene.

Chrome’s share of the desktop market continues to increase steadily month on month, and Google's browser now dominates over 65% of the desktop market.

Chrome is a very good browser but only on desktop/laptop because ad blocking extensions can be used. On mobile it's a different story so I don't use it there. I won't touch any M$ browser with a barge pole though.

Would be interesting to see the result if Ubuntu, a linux distribution was included with linux.

The most of them are preinstalled or forced updated OS. It has nothing to do with popularity.
