The most reliable hard drives in the world

Toshiba drives apear to be very reliable based on the last few Backblaze reports.
 
I’m not a fan of BB’s stats, although they’re about the only independent stats out there. They have a very unusual usage scenario - no end user/consumer has a similar way of using the drives.

True, but one thing that I have noticed is that regardless of the manufacturer, the failure rates are pretty low.

my take-away from this - buy whatever's cheapest, chances of getting a lemon is pretty low.
 
More interested in the reliability of SSDs.
 
Does it really matter if you stream your movies from your PC to your TV, where you have a 5400RPM drive that it is streaming from?

Unlikely.

I stream stuff from a multi drive UnRAID which should be slower than a single drive setup and have never had an issue.

That includes 4K remuxes.
