Japan beats SA, Scotland beats Japan = Scotland beats SA = we are out and on the way home! Don't want to think about it!

Japan are on the warpath, they are going to give Scotland a run for its money - a closely contended outcome is on the cards.
We on the other hand face arguably the strongest team in the pool .....

Will you back up that statement on SuperBru? :D

Scotland have a very good chance to push this with ~20 points. In the case that Jones do have a plan, as RWC prepared, then the Scots are in trouble to make another historical landmark in world union rugby. Remember Scotland have never played against this 23-man Japanese team, the Japanese forwards are coached by an ex-Scottish rugby player.

I called the Scots on SuperBru by 10 or 20, made my picks long before the player announcements, and I never change my picks. Japan will win this one.

Scots by 25.

The problem with the big margin is that every team which ever played Japan simply scrummed over them. In the last matchup between Scotland and Japan, the Scottish simply walked over them over to the try line. This is not 'consistently' possible anymore, there is actually an amateurish video illustrating the Japanese improvement. Remember Jones was absent in 2013 due to his health and missed a crucial competition he had in developing his team, also how he elected to play the last competition, switching the 1-8 and 10-15 in every game (he took 37 players).

I agree with your analysis but I think they have had their "game of the tournament" and not enough time to recover before playing a fresh Scotland side. The Scots won't make the same stupid mistakes that we did, which were converted in points nearly every time and kept them in the hunt.

It seems this result has given their match vs. Scotland massive meaning. Everybody is waiting to see if they can repeat what they just did, and nobody really has a clue what to expect.

Gotta love rugby. I see quite a few Superbru's being ruined by that match. Gonna be close to 50/50 split I think.

My prediction stands, another close game is in the making .......
Japan will continue to exploit weaknesses and mistakes .......

I don't believe for one minute, they have not analysed their opposing teams and know every move and have a counter move ready and waiting .....

True, no man can argue. I'm only glad that the gaps in global rugby are smoothed out, it's healthy. Wednesday will be a good day, every abled rugby supporter will watch Scotland and Japan play.

Which would not have been the case 4/8 years ago !! it would have been a "dead rubber".

I think I'm going to Cheer for Japan for the rest of the Pool games, doubt if they will be able to repeat last weeks performance against Scotland but I'll be cheering them on anyways.

A close game in Japan's favour is my call, and yes I will be supporting them as well!

Pity Eddie Jones is going to coach the Stormers next. Wish he would come and sort out the mess the Bulls are in ....

I still suffer from shock - but go Japannnnnn

At my age the kind of shock the Boks inflicted on me last Saturday takes some getting used to...:wtf:
But then I though, let's wait for the team to face Samoa, surely they will not pick a certain centre again - who in my opinion has become too slow and too jittery with the past injuries he has had... But, lo and behold, he is still in the team... Oh well, hopefully Heyneke will replace him with young Jessie Kriel after 10 minutes - I can't wait to see the De Allenede/Kriel pairing in action again...
At least we can say hallelujah about one thing - Fourie du Preez is back in place of Ruan Pienaar and with that Handre Pollard - thank heavens for small mercies...
I agree and disagree with the ones who say that Lood de Jager is unlucky to be on the bench - sure, he was one of the stand out Boks against Japan... But, who of the 3 locks is the best impact player - Matfield (sorry Victor I do love you but you are getting on in years) Etzebeth (great physical presence we need at the start) or De Jager (who always makes a difference the minute he steps on the field)...
Anyway, my two cents worth... We do all have our opinions - just like coach Meyer has his, I have mine... :D

Tied for fourth and tonight it should show a considerable jump for everyone who picked the AB's.
