Nashua and Nashua Mobile have teamed up to offer a new innovation at this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge – a fully equipped Nashua Techno Centre, making it the first time that such a business facility will be available at the tournament.
The Nashua Techno Centre will offer ultra modern facilities comprising a reception area, boardroom, 2 private offices, 5 internet terminals, Wi-Fi connectivity, bar and coffee shop, putting analysis, and a wide format printing facility. Every business requirement will be accommodated. The centre also will be centrally located to give sponsors and spectators easy access to business facilities.
"This is the first time a business facility will be made available to sponsors and spectators at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. It aligns us with the standards of high calibre international tournaments and puts us at the forefront of local golf tournaments," says Alastair Roper, Nedbank Golf Challenge Tournament Director.
“This year Nashua will offer Nedbank Golf Challenge sponsors and the viewing public the opportunity to make use of the Nashua Techno Centre as a one-stop-techno shop. Now they can take time away from the office, enjoy the golf and still keep in contact with their businesses,” says David Hallas, Marketing Manager Nashua Office Automation.
Nashua Mobile, one of South Africa’s largest, independent telecommunication solutions providers will be in attendance to offer advice on a range of cellular and internet solutions.
A key highlight of the Nashua Techno Centre is a digital home exhibit that will display some of the cutting-edge technology already appearing in many homes in South Africa and the rest of the world.
From home automation systems and IP surveillance technologies, through to large screen Panasonic plasma televisions, Xbox 360 consoles and sleek Apple iMac computers, this model digital home has it all, including a live Webcam feed from the golf course.
Says Chris Scoble, Managing Director at Nashua Mobile: “The Nashua Techno Centre is a showcase for technologies that keep people in touch and productive at home, in the office and on the road. We expect it to be popular with spectators who want to take some time out to enjoy the golf while keeping in contact with developments back at the office."
