The official running thread™

Bought a new pair of Maxed, they seem to have a lot more cushion (which I don't particularly like, I prefer to feel the terrain below my feet), but let's see how it goes (They look like a pair of fake Hoka's :p ).
I just wished Maxed had a wider toe box. I'm also a 12 but its quite uncomfortable so hoping they do 13 at some point.
I use an Asics Kayano for most of my runs that's hitting almost 3000km. It's worn to the gel and there's no cushioning left. My ankles and feet have adapted so ligaments and bones feel stronger.
When I do a race I switch to newer shoes. The bounce is more pronounced and I can run faster.

True story, they are slightly too narrow, but will stretch out a bit.

Good strategy on the old shoe for practice and new for race, I train and race in old worn out shoes, but will consider your strategy.

Just dropped a kidney and bought the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2. Break in run later today but so far, I am very impressed.

The only thing more insane than being a runner (which I am guilt of also) is being a non-morning runner, dunno how you guys do it.

I prefer the morning runs as I am fresh but also feel much more energised post run.

you are only a real runner once you have had the experience of having the morning runs on your morning run
This is one of my biggest challenges, not so much the runs, but emptying the bowels before my early morning runs. The guys at the petrol stations already know me by name..
