The official Ubiquiti Devices Q&A Thread

I have a weird error when streaming through Plex but only if it is lower quality movies. My AP that the TV is connecting to disconnects and I have to restart the AP. It then works for about 20 minutes before disconnecting again. I can stream 4k movies and YouTube all day long with no disconnections but DVD quality disconnects the AP. I have tried with a AC LR and a 6+ and both do the same.

Try turning Multicast enhancement on if it’s off, or off if it’s on.

If you play this through DLNA or a normal Samba share, does the issue persist? Are you doing Direct Play or is any transcoding going on?

Anyone know when we'll be able to get our hands on the UNAS Pro?

I'd like to simplify my storage and looking at this as an option depending on the price. If it's the same price as the UNVR Pro as it is in the US then it would be a really attractive option.

For anyone looking. Seems the U6 editions are getting cheaper

Yeah especially with the cheaper Wifi7 (without 6ghz) becoming available

Been chatting with Scoop. I'll be getting one as soon as they become available.

The price is really unbeatable, there is nothing in this segment that comes close. It may not be very feature rich, but right now I don't need features just something that whirrs away in the background to store my media. Ubiquiti also have a track record of rolling out incremental improvements over time.

A guy in our work Slack has two of them, and apparently their boot times are really impressive.

That is perfect, and loads of people were complaining about lack of features, which it will never have. Synology has that market already

It already seems quite solid based on their releases https://community.ui.com/releases/UniFi-Drive-Application-2-0-1/630c0911-a314-4ac8-88c3-4878ea6bceb8

Let us know if you happy when installed
They first batch arrived at Scoop, going to pick mine up in a bit.

Looks like the first batch must have all been reserved for pre-orders or they haven't updated their website yet as I don't see stock listed yet.

The "lack of features" didnt stop them selling out :) Glad you got one and hope you happy!

Hehe, it's a slippery slope...
Oh I know, I've been on this slope for a while and it just keeps going down.

I might have some second hand Unifi gear up for sale in a couple of weeks though if anyone is interested.

I've currently got a 24 port Switch sitting in the cupboard not doing anything, plus I'll probably sell another 8 port switch that will be replaced by the one I just ordered.
