The one thing that irritates the hell out of me with Exchange 2007.

The pop3 connector.

I would like to set a download schedule for it.

WSUS and various other apps are all set to download updates at night, Nobody reads new emails at night here but the only choice I have is to download every 5 or more minutes (I can not set the pop3 connector to not download at night and over weekends like I could do with exchange 2003).

Is there a workaround for this?

exchange has nothing to do with a pop connector. Just spool the mail directly to the mail server.

Running the POP connector with Exchange 2007 is like buying a car and then pushing it around. POP was designed in 1984 so Micosoft is unlikely to spend too much time developing fancy options for the connector because the only reason it's there is to appease legacy mail systems but as Greg said, dump if you can and use Exchange as intended.
