First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

I won't speak for them because they will come for me, not because I am not a communist, socialist and trade unionist.

all leftists must go to hell.

Then society was finally free.

Exactly, and that happens when you decide who has a say.
Anyone can have a say, but they cannot say anything about the violation of individual rights. Which ultimately means it is the gas chamber for communists.

Precisely the kind of thinking that will put them in power.

the tripartite alliance is the combination of ==> Communists, Socialists and trade unionists

Doublethink right there considering their recently tabled expropriation bill allows the government to expropriate any piece of property they want without compensation, including intellectual property.
Brilliant, that means the lazy cadres no longer have to bother retracting policy papers they plagiarised from other countries.

Is she really this ****ing stupid or did she learn it from the ANC?
Must be inbred within the ANC and for that matter the EFFoff party as well, whereas the smaller (opposition) parties don't exhibit these symptoms.

They probably want to go after all you dirty pirates watching SABC without a tv license. Its confusing because there's actually a team called Pirates.
 maybe we could start an online petition that Pirates have been promoting piracy (just to see #ProblemIsStella squirming in unintended consequences), even go as far as suggesting that people support an opposition team instead of Pirates.

How is that a legitimate reason?

The focus is usually specifically child pornography, human trafficking, or the other disturbing categories, no sane politician, citizen or organisation will take on a government attempting to block those...

Thing is it never stays there but is a prime example of opening the door to the slippery slope. You will always find categories that are popular to ban without a rational basis to ban them. Besides there are the "disturbing" categories where sane people have called for unbanning because rationality says you should.

When something is really illegal you go after the main source and not the soft targets with redundant laws.

Completely agree, censorship is indeed a slippery slope, something as simple as ones beliefs could result in anothers freedoms violated, religious freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, opposition parties,... the censorship tool once implemented is too dangerous in human hands. It is best to go after the perpetrators of the actual crime as they would typically adapt and find other means to share content having no impact with reducing criminal activity.

Slightly off topic but I've too often seen organisations try to restrictions internet access due to productivity and I keep telling them they wasting their time, companies must employ capable managers, the right people and implement solid performance management programs, because employees in highly restricted environments simply switch to personal devices were theres zero control.

South Africa has a law that you can not intercept someones data unless you have a court order.

So how are South African ISPs going to comply with this and obey the law?
