Maybe it's just about money.

It would be great if it's about a good product at a good price with a good service.

But I doubt whether the price will be good for the consumer.

We can only hope and Pray and Pray and Pray once more. The proof will be in the pudding and in South Africa the cost thereof. Everybody has big plans and wants to join the gravy train.

More crap.
A vehicle tracking company and a cellphone account management company who has a WiMax test licence harping about bundling being the next big thing.

South Africa's telecoms sector is so fcuked up.

Maybe you just don't know who Altron is?

The holding company of:
Altech
Fintech
Protech.

These guys has a finger in all the technology sectors in South Africa.

If there is one SA company who can do it, it is them

Sure, it CAN be faster than HSDPA...but will they offer up to 10Mb at the same "affordable" prices? I doubt it.

What's wrong Mr. Tarrant? Telkom not paying you enough to sing their praises and now you've sold yourself off to the highest bidder? Tsk tsk

competition

This would mean competition, which would be excellent for all of us. But Ivy won't let it happen 'cos there's nothing in it for her.
