The problem with these is that it might say size 34, but it will be completely different. You need to fit them. When I go buy a pair of 501'sat any other store, I look for the 38 waist 34 inseam and grab it, because I know it will fit.

I've never had this problem, the sizes were accurate as I always tried them on just 'in case'. Maybe they send the really bad ones to CT :D

my brief is that price :D

Good underwear is a must. It's no use getting cheap stuff that look horrible and chafe you. R360 might be a bit overkill, but generally good underwear doesn't come cheap.

Besides that, the more expensive underwear usually last a good while as well, so the cost is somewhat justified in that department as well.

Why would you want to wear the same underwear for the next 5 years? More affordable ones keep things interesting ;)

I used to dress men for a living, just for the record :)

Obviously, but you can get cheap that doesn't chafe.

Nah, they all last a few hundred wears.

yep ...a cheaper jean is no where as strong as a pricey jean

but depends on what is your definition of cheap and pricey as well

for me the R500 levi will last just as long as that R2000 G star

but that R500 levi will last few years compare to a R200 woolies or Mr P jean

It depends on the fabric, the way you look after it etc.
If you know a bit about fabrics its much easier to buy cheap things successfully but price definitely doesn't equal quality.

Also depends on how often you wash it. I usually wear a pair of jeans twice before tossing it in the washer...

Same here - maybe even longer when it's not hot. But it goes straight into the wash after a night out at a (smoky) club/pub/bar etc.

And I'm gay, so I win. :p

I buy 8 jockeys every year. I wash clothes every week, so need one per day plus an extra. I usually throw them out every year, sometimes year and a half. If I stretch it too long the fabric becomes a bit uncomfortable or they start unravelling, etc. I bought d.66 (Edgars) jockeys last year for about R80 each and they're the most comfortable ones I've had in a while. The cheaper stuff just doesn't fit as comfortably and if I'm wearing uncomfortable underwear, I'm uncomfortable the entire day.

I don't know, I just feel a guy who pays attention to his underwear is on the right side of the fence. I might be a bit extreme with my habits, but if I ever had to pull someone's pants down to see either those cheap triangle briefs (always makes me think of children) or faded briefs, I'll pull his pants right back up.

:erm: I'm not that spontaneous. :p

One should never be caught off-guard. Always come prepared. :D

But do they look good or do they look faded and ugly at the end of it?

Jeans are nice in that regard. In winter months I can easily wear them three times in a row before washing.
