Not really. You can see by the loss of wickets the approach was cautious/conservative.

bigger bats, smaller boundaries, powerplays, 2 balls ... all weren't a factor back then... and all of them contributed to scoring rates of the modern game...
i dont think David warner would have the same record if he had to bat with those thin planks that his predecessors had to use.

there will always be exceptions... but what im talking about was more the rule...
I actually miss those low 200 run dogfights
now its just wham bam thank you ma'am stuff for the most part. not an equal contest between bat and ball imo

Very unusual to see a team chasing a low total and using almost all the overs with the loss of only a few wickets.
Kuips must've been sitting there pulling his hair out.
