Read the article

Yeah saw now, his friend is the witness and the pub also bans the one guy only, guilty before proven innocent.
I mean how hard is it now to have someone else get into trouble by just saying yeah he did call me a monkey. It's ridiculous, this guys life is now ruined, even if it's proven otherwise he's screwed.
This is the quote from the friend

"And that's when he started shouting 'oh stupid monkey, stupid monkey' - something to that effect - something about Lazola being a monkey."

So he said something to that affect? That's not really proof is it?

The guy that was banned was obviously stirring and causing trouble with his attitude and comments, irrespective of whether he used the word monkey or not. There were witnesses to that. And there is no reason for Lazola and his friend to lie about it

You think the bar just decided to ban the one without anything to support their action? And what would you accept as proof in this instance?

Who knows there could be a valid reason to lie, maybe Lazola failed to hit the guy and his feelings were hurt, so the next best thing to do is call him a racist and ruin the guys life.
Why even bring it up in the first place to be honest? Unless you're meaning to actually hurt that guy more, it's vindictive and petty.

Yes exactly? If he was really called that, why bring it up? With this country it's a sure fire way to bury someone, over a singe word. I mean the other guy could be a model citizen but in one stupid spat say a wrong word and bam his life is ruined.
Welcome to SA, freedom of speech unless you don't like it.

Maybe he is the type that is easily offended by words, not everyone is as chilled as you are about these things.

Thanks Champ, I do like to think I'm chilled :) most of the time, words don't hurt me, only the punches do.

Sometimes people say stuff to get a reaction out of you. Then they say more stuff when a reaction isn't forthcoming, eventually resorting a full confrontation. We've all been there.

That they do, but in this day and age you cannot as if you're not one colour your words can apparently seriously hurt.
