BLF members accused of ‘racial’ attack on Joburg lawyer

The Johannesburg Bar Council says a female lawyer has been subjected to a vicious racial attack by people wearing Black First, Land First (BLF) t-shirts at the High Court in Johannesburg.
The bar says the woman was cornered in the foyer of the building on Wednesday shortly after a protest outside.
BLF leader Andile Mngxitama has confirmed his members did attack the woman, but he insists they were defending themselves against the lawyer whom they've labelled racist.
“It was an incident of racism and our members did what was required of them as BLF members to defend themselves. I, as the president of BLF, I completely endorse their actions and take full responsibility.”

Eyewitness News asked Mngxitama what the lawyer had said that could be construed as racist. He said he doesn't know but he believes his members.

Lol, they could have beat the crap out of her and corectively ganged raped her and nothing would happen to them.

When you start endorsing violence against people publicly without any concern of repercussions you know the system is biased yet it will be denied...

They are all bark and no bite. Don't let the media get you all riled up. BLF are insects scratching for crumbs under a very large table. They have no power only words.

My issue is with the double standards applied under the law.

Don't worry, everyone else sees it too. Those that support those double standards are a tiny minority.

Those that don't support what is going on in SA at the moment, would make an Angus Buchan gathering look like a picnic. We have strength in numbers and right now I think all people are waiting for is enough of a push to rise up and start mass protesting.

I disagree, society as a whole does not see it. You mention it here and you get the whataboutism argument. The double standards are actively supported by the people, the media, the sahrc and npa.

Still all those you've mentioned are only a tiny handful. Mybroadband has what, several thousand registered members? SAHRC and NPA are also only a few thousand. Direct ANC governance itself is only a small handful of the population.

Literally all those that have a voice and those lawmakers, are all BOUGHT lock, stock and barrel. They all have a financially vested interest to spout whatever crap fills their accounts and whoever pays them to write news articles, to sway public opinion. Don't buy into it.

What you fail to realise is that they're in control and have the power to fine & incarcerate some while letting others off.

Pointless discussing this further.

It's not pointless. Everything changes and let me be a voice of hope; things will get better you'll see. I think also to take a break from N&CA and all it's negativity. The news has a weird way of blanketing things with a dark cloud. Take that dark cloud and dump it in the bin. Just do it!

BLF have nothing to offer. They're a Zupta project created solely to cause anarchy. Arrest Mngxitama and the whole stokvel will come down crashing.
