The votes determine the actual consensus so how is freedom of expression going to change that? If black people are continually attacked and berated for their opinions even if they are based on a fear of something that no longer exists how will they ever be able to withdraw a defensive stance and look at the facts for what they are? If I was treated like that I think i might struggle to see things objectively and rather go for the option that protected me personally before I considered the best interest of all parties.

So I should treat black people differently that I would treat white people? That seems racist to me.

What I find most disturbing about eff policies is their supporters, even the educated ones, have not realised the true implications of the policies. The country is gone. Not just economy like zim, but complete and utter destruction of everything. I see banks and public services will be the first to go, almost instantly. Banks will have to write off trillions, no payments coming in, there is not enough insurance on the planet to dig them out of it, cities have no rates and taxes etc coming in to pay salaries. Massive strikes demanding salaries. Treasury has been looted by ANC for decades now, there is nothing left to bail anyone out. Followed shortly by retail etc, no salary to spend on anything, retailers close. Nationwide unemployment within a few months, no money, no food, and one person owns all the land, Malema. Mugabe was 'mild' in comparison to what Malema wants to do. No coming back from it. We'll have to start pirating like Somalia.

Arrest made in case of racist note found at Atlanta High School

ATLANTA, Tx.- 17-year-old Corbin Cook was arrested for the racist note found at Atlanta High School. He has been charged with disruptive activity a misdemeanor.

Investigators have determined that this is not a case of racial threats because the student who posted the note was African American. According to Det. Allan Williams with Atlanta, Texas Police others could also be arrested as they finish up the confession of this teenager.

At this time detectives feel it was a prank to try and get school dismissed.

"Our main finding is that Neanderthal DNA does influence clinical traits in modern humans: We discovered associations between Neanderthal DNA and a wide range of traits, including immunological, dermatological, neurological, psychiatric and reproductive diseases," said John Capra, senior author of the paper "The phenotypic legacy of admixture between modern humans and Neanderthals" published in the Feb. 12 issue of the journal Science. The evolutionary geneticist is an assistant professor of biological sciences at Vanderbilt University.

In addition, there were a number of surprises. For example, they found that a specific bit of Neanderthal DNA significantly increases risk for nicotine addiction. They also found a number of variants that influence the risk for depression: some positively and some negatively. In fact, a surprisingly number of snippets of Neanderthal DNA were associated with psychiatric and neurological effects, the study found.

Note that this study was only looking for correlations with diseases, and was not in any way looking for beneficial advantages with respect to neanderthal genes.

"We don't know what these lipid concentration changes do to the brain, but the fact that Neanderthal variants might have changed our brain composition has interesting implications", says Philipp Khaitovich. Further work is needed, however, in order to fully assess the potential functional effects of these changes.

For example, Personally, all the thieves I've ever been robbed by are black. So if I followed your racist approach I would now have an inherent mistrust of all black people because they might be thieves.

Williams said the racist, threatening note was written on a large piece of paper, somewhat like an "oversized Post-it note" with adhesive on the top. The note was found in the restroom.

Though the note was "threatening to shoot tomorrow," police had no idea how long the note had been in the restroom. Williams said police converged on the school immediately to investigate.

Williams said that though the note threatened harm to black students, it was believed to have been written by a black student. "They were just trying to do it as a prank to get out of class," he said.

"Just the threat of harm was bad enough, but to throw race into it was just as bad," he added.

Yes, black people WERE oppressed by white people...but that oppression stopped 22 years ago! Oppression to THAT degree is gone for good. I don't understand how you can't see that?

Look at what's happened to SA after that. A lot of people, whether they're black of white, are STILL oppressed by a government who promised to turn the situation around.
