What CURRENT predicaments? 21 years...or can't your maths brain compute that? So someone who started school at 6 in 1995, would be 26 or 27 now, would have completed school, and university now and have 4-5 years work experience with the new lowered standard of education. So basically black people do not trust white people to lead them. Black people are at a disadvantage and so accomodations have to be made by the system, until such a time as the system functions in such a way that black people are not at a disadvantage. So we all have to suffer while the disadvantaged (read: performance differently abled) Do nothing but try to chip away at the system to be more accomodative of black disadvantage.

Do you not get the idea that at some point the system needs to maintain its own integrity in order to function properly? Do you not get the reality that ALL economic policies have real consequences, many of which are unforseen?

Well **** it, I don't want to live in a country where the job of the government is to cater to the feelings of those who feel they have been victimised at the cost of what's in the best interests of everybody in this country.

You said to him that "he said it" in response to his sarcasm, as if to say that he was really trying to say it. The point that you missed with regard to the sarcastic comment was that you were overlooking the contribution the other races played when you made the statement that "black people built the country". In other words, you need to give recognition where it is due if you indignantly want to claim recognition for your preferred identity group.

How is my statement and yours not consistent. You are talking specifics and I am talking in general. When I say black people are poor I don't mean every black person is poor. Duh! True. There are a helluva lot of you too ( don't take that the wrong way ). Yet you have been in power long time now and your elected ANC government governs badly and takes all the wrong steps in improving the situation.

You know the expression "bootstrap loader"? Meaning to pull yourself up by your bootstraps (in computer terms). If you are feeling impoverished and hard-done by, I suggest you bootstrap your life rather than wallowing in this "black pain" stuff in the hope that someone else will lift you out of your misery.

How long did it take for the Germans, the Japanese or the Finnish to become world leaders of industry on the back of smashed economies and destroyed infrastructure after the devastation of world war 2?

20 years after WW2 these countries were already prosperous or on the way to prosperity. Thats the truth. with a common goal and a country working for each other.

But yet South Africa has infrastructure and systems in place and 20 years down the line, it's heading backwards at an alarming rate of knots. People still bickering over schyte while the fat cats rob us blind and delude us with tales of race.

Unfortunately, too many have bought it and here we sit arguing about what does or does not hurt our feelings instead of building a country we can all be proud of.
