Renault reveals its first flying car

Renault joined forces with TheArsenale, a design firm from Miami, to develop its first flying car — the Air4.

The human-sized drone with a nostalgic body attached marks the 60th anniversary of the original Renault 4.

What is that even supposed to mean??? Do you mean a 22Ah battery (which itself doesnt mean anything because the nominal voltage at that capacity has not been stated) capable of 9000 N of thurst? Or 90 kW of motor power (which itself is very little for something that size)

Concept cars usually have some practicality to them and test design/engineering ideas etc. This is all off the shelf stuff with a moulded body on top of a classic.

It’s like a proof of concept.
Spend as little $$$ as possible to get the basic idea working and see if it’s viable before going all out with their research and development budget.

Assuming they meant 90A and not Ah and a 22Ah capacity, 22/90=0.24 hours * 60 = 14.6 minutes.

That was my second thought, the first thought I had was that someone had drop kicked a Renault and sent it flying through the air with the greatest of ease.

The scale of this thing in the video most likely is that of a small drone.

Renault are the last I'd trust with flying. They can't even do cars right.
