Agreed, but you know how it goes with ANC...They should get told to get fscked..
They can't even pay their staff, so how the hell will they pay for gennys? lolPay out of the ancs pocket for generators...
I think it would be funny if Mkhize wins. And it will accelerate the ANC's destruction.
Would still be funny. Can't see that happening despite all the dodgy stuff that happens at ANC conferences. He seriously doesn't have a support base outside of KZN. Limpopo, NC, WC, EC and I believe Gauteng are strongly for Ramaphosa, and besides KZN, I think the branch splits in ANC strongholds like NW & MP are roughly 50-50, which is far less than what Mkhize requires.
Mabuza says 97 party members implicated in Zondo report would have to face integrity commission
There are at least 97 ANC members who have been implicated in the Zondo report and will have to face the ANC’s integrity commission.
This is according to the ANC’s organisational report delivered by deputy president David Mabuza at the party’s national elective conference on Saturday.
He said over the course of the past five years, the majority of the 55 members with whom the ANC’s integrity commission engaged were found to have brought the organisation into serious disrepute, and different forms of sanctions were recommended.
Mabuza cautioned that the number of engagements with party members accused of bringing the party into disrepute has “increased exponentially".
Among the 55 members that have presented themselves before the commission include “18 members [who presented themselves] in 2019, nine members in 2020, 16 members in 2021, 12 members in 2022.
Mabuza said that the integrity commission had the potential of engaging with 97 members cited in the Zondo commission report.
Mabuza also noted the integrity Commission was severely lacking in terms of full-time staff.

A thread of reasonable explanations by Beaumont.
It just doesn't make sense. You're essentially creating an elitist system by unironically putting a paywall on becoming an MP/MPL.
If someone has a sizable constituency behind them, but said constituency doesn't donate/donate much. What then? Disqualification?
Let's be real, if they don't make the 100k but they're perfect in every other facet, they'll be shadowblocked...

Top 7: ANC delegates resolve to create additional deputy secretary-general position
The ANC national conference has resolved to expand the number of party officials from top 6 to 7 with the introduction of the position of a second deputy secretary-general.
The ANC national conference delegates unanimously agreed to the constitutional amendment for the additional position.
Support for the position was pushed by the ANC Women’s League and found traction in other provinces.
Earlier, ANC Women’s League Coordinator Maropene Ramokgopa told News24 they hoped hope one of the positions would be used to monitor the performance of ANC deployees in the government.
Ramokgopa said she was available if she was nominated for the position.

Let me guess; they’ll be shocked when CR wins. Also, I think they only vote tomorrow for the top six positions.
Tonight probably.ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe says delegates are currently having dinner, “soon after this, they will proceed to the adoption of credentials which the nomination process for the top 7 will follow".
He adds that in between all this, the outside integrity reports will also be tabled and then the voting will take place.
