Let's be real, if they don't make the 100k but they're perfect in every other facet, they'll be shadowblocked...

If someone can’t have a conversation with a couple of donors and raise R100k, it’s doubtful they’ll be able to function at the level expected of an MP. Action SA ids a young party, and they need money to fuel growth. The EFF has more onerous expectations on its MPs.

Let me guess; they’ll be shocked when CR wins. Also, I think they only vote tomorrow for the top six positions.
Iqbal is paving the way to cry foul if Ramaphosa wins.

I disagree.

Being an MP is much more than just fundraising capability.

It's elitist simple as.

Mabe says voting for leadership positions will take place while commissions are in session. He says each province will take turns casting a ballot.
-Zintle Mahlati

Mabe says there’s hope that all these checklists will be completed tonight because “we are rushing against time”.

Mabe says after credentials, nominations for leadership positions will begin.

Delegates are on a break. When plenary returns the organisational report will be discussed, credentials and constitutional amendments will be tabled by delegates.

Initially, the ANC had decided to separate the election of its top leadership into two separate sessions.
The party has now abandoned this idea and all top leadership positions will be voted in one session.

To do what I wonder, for them to be active they should have an active role, otherwise it will be just a waste of time and resources.
I hope so. So they can at least help stave off the sabotage in whatever way possible.

One thing they should do,
They should put the army on coal delivery ( that is if they can’t be bribed.. which i doubt)
Part of the problem is that trucks leave the mines with the correct load and in between the mines and the power stations a very well run criminal site is being run. They swop the coal loads with in minutes.

There is speculations that it happens on the route. The trucks at the eskom sites pitch up with different trailers, but the guy at eskom is also bribed to look the other way.

The kick backs of the exported coal is being fed back to the corrupt at eskom. ( the ‘good’ coal is being exported)

Its a very sophisticated criminal organization .
Just like the copper syndicate it is being held back by political will, they know that there is fingers in the pie that they have to protect.

It’s a very unfortunate situation with no sign of ending.

Not entirely sure what the military is to be used for at Eskom, unless they under threat of physical attack. It's an ANC thing to put @arse before face, e.g during lockdown is when the military should have been used to guard infrastructure like railway stations which have been vandalized and stripped bare, instead they were used to chase people off beaches, shout at people not wearing masks and even assault them.
