The CR22 campaign instructed its supporters to vote for Ramaphosa as president with Mabuyane as his deputy, Gwede Mantashe as national chairperson, and Fikile Mbalula as secretary-general.

Tina Joemat-Pettersson has been punted as the first deputy secretary-general, Maropene Ramagkope as second deputy secretary-general and Gwen Ramagkopa as treasurer-general.

In the Mkhize camp line-up, Mashatile is the deputy president, Stanley Matabatha is the national chairperson, the secretary-general is Phumulo Masualle, and Nomvula Mokonyane is first deputy secretary-general.

Ronalda Nolumanga takes the spot of the second deputy secretary-general, and Mwzandile Masina is running for treasurer.

I see Ramaphosa rewarding his chief attack dog, the highly corrupt Mantashe...(Bosasa ring any bells?)

They only cared about Mandela, the rest of us have always been insignificant.

Cyril actually had a very strong reputation based on what he was up to in those days. Even Thabo was reputable, since it was before his HIV-madness. There was hardly a hiccup when Mandela handed over to Thabo.

Gwede isn't highly corrupt just regular corrupt and even then not anywhere near the top. His problem is that he's a true ideologue. 100% politician. Self confessed Marxist. Shouldn't be in government of any sort.

The conference is now starting with their commissions. An announcement has been urging comrades to report to their commissions, but many delegates are taking their time. This also means that the voting is about to start.

Ramaphosa may win by 300 votes, says ANC WL coordinator

ANC Women's League coordinator Maropene Ramokgopa says a recent head count of delegates supporting President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday showed that he may win be a margin of 300 votes.

Lobbyists for Ramaphosa gathered delegates outside the Nasrec conference venue to give final marching orders ahead of the vote on Sunday afternoon. She said Ramaphosa had amassed more support since the nomination process in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

"I am more confident than I was yesterday," she said.

Ramokgopa is contesting the second deputy secretary general position on the CR22 slate. She is up against Rolanda Nalumango.

Faction of ANC Gauteng throws their weight behind Mkhize's bid for presidency
ANC Gauteng heavyweight Lebogang Maile won't support President Cyril Ramaphosa's bid for a second term, because he opted not to support their preferred candidate for second in-command, Paul Mashatile.
A portion of the ANC in Gauteng has thrown their weight behind presidential hopeful Zweli Mkhize.
"There are provinces that supported our candidates and we support their candidates. We took a decision as provincial executive committee to support president Ramaphosa, but there is a condition to that. There is a condition that they support our candidates Comrade Paul Mashatile and Nomvula Mokonyane. Unfortunately, the candidates that support President Ramaphosa don't support our candidates," Maile told News24.
Paul Mashatile, the ANC's outgoing treasurer-general, looked set to take the deputy president position, with overwhelming support from Gauteng and Limpopo.
