Curious to see how RET will respond to this.

Apparently, the "incoming leadership" must deal with the Phala Phala report from the "integrity committee"...

So a lot to play for still. Cyril's second term as ANC President might be short.

Gwen Ramokgopa, with 1809 votes, defeated Pule Mabe, who had 1652 votes and Bejani Chauke who had 590 votes. Mzwandile Masina, who withdrew from the race received 281 votes.

Wait, 281 people voted for someone not running?

Depends how the NEC results play out. If it favours Cyril then he's home free...

And all this because they want to be closer to the cookie jar. Sad day.
The ANC is just a bunch of thieves.

The RET faction was clearly hopelessly disorganised and outplayed by the Ramaphosa slate, if you look at how tight the vote was in some of the other positions.

I think Cyril will be elected with the highest number of votes out of all the positions. Obviously his was a two-horse race, but in the other two-horse races, the winner hasn't yet achieved Cyril's total.
The fantastic strong mandate we’ve all been waiting for the past 5 years. At last the clean-out can begin. I wonder who will get the chop first?

Hopefully he keeps Cele - that guy is on the up-and-up.
