Anything of note at the press conference, Honorable Member?
Board/Working committee just announced. Carl will be the Chairperson. The other members are Mervyn Dirks, and four other nobodies. I’ll get their names just now.

Carl made it clear that this is a “Movement” and not a political party. Also says that they have been “in discussions” with political parties, amongst them the EFF.

Funding will be through memberships and donations from the public. There will be an annual/monthly fee. Exact amount to be determined.

ANC already rejected them in 2021 when EFF approached them for a nationwide coalition.

And I doubt Rama would want to work with Malema...

There is no way Rama will sit on the opposition benches come 2024. His exit of politics will be swift - either a retirement to Cape Town or a full on emigration where governments aren't quite as "slow".

So Mervyn Dirks expelled himself from the ANC?

The Gauteng coalition and Tshwane’s DA mayor Randall Williams have largely blamed the adverse findings on the period in the year under audit when the city was run by administrators appointed by the ANC-led provincial government.

As Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi unveiled a new school worth R40 million in Tshwane on Wednesday, he pleaded for it not to become a victim of vandalism.

To kick off the school year in the province, Lesufi and Education MEC Matome Chiloane officially opened Mapenane Secondary School in Ga-Rankuwa. The new school boasts a state-of-the-art hall, admin block and two laboratories.

Welcoming pupils, Chiloane said the school, as an asset, was officially being handed over to the community who should safeguard it jealously and selfishly.

Would be awesome if Carl's movement had the capacity to pull RET people out of the ANC and into the new movement, but I doubt he has much clout among the RETs who remain in the ANC.
