Actually imagine if Shell House had not been defended and leaders including Mandela were murdered, the fallout in the country would have been unimaginable.
You are aware Mandela was not there on the day so you just making stuff up.

Source for this. ? Or is it another @TheChamp make believe. A commission of enquiry chaired by a judge found it BS.
The notion that a judge is some authority on what actually happened on the day, what could have happened and what were the intentions of all who were involved is a flawed one. I have a bridge to sell anyone who believes the IFP went there with noble intentions.

There are plenty sources on the incident, pick and choose whichever source you want from the internet.

So because the ANC are a bunch or criminal thugs, the DA should just sit at home and not try draw attention to the entity responsible for the complete fsck up that this country has become?

That’s what some on here think. A ridiculous argument.

They shouldn't sit at home, they should go.

It's the New Dawn, the ANC has since become more civilized since those days, I doubt anyone would leave there with gaping head wounds.

Having said that I still reiterate that marching on another man's house is the ultimate form of disrespect and it is not something that should be encouraged.

And will those DA supporters urging the march on social media be on the ground themselves?

Come on...
Everyone has their duty in the party, there are supporters who are the core of the party, the ones that Zille would collapse the house and burn it down in their defence if they showed any signs of discomfort. They hold the fort on the forums and Twitter, taking care of the important stuff.

Then there is everybody else, the masses, those are good enough for protests, if anyone is going to leave any march with a gaping head wound you can be sure it will be one of those. They are generally not to be trusted because they have a tendency of becoming too clever for their own good, the experiments who seldom work out even if you try put them in important positions.

They must learn from the IFP's experience at Shell House.
I've seen this stupid equivalence on Twitter too.

There's a massive difference between the two.

DA is going to peacefully protest at Luthuli House over the ANC's monumental **** up as a government. (Which is their democratic right to do so)
IFP went armed and everything to Luthuli House, in a period where they and ANC were at war basically, at a time when the country was at boiling point.

In conclusion, false equivalence.

Yup and same logic on Twitter.

It's basically like this:

Some people: "We should have a march and protest against ANC Gov over LS"
DA: "Coolio, we're marching on the 25th to Luthuli House, you coming?"
Some people: "NO, NO, NO, NOT LIKE THAT! WHAT ABOUT MARCHING TO ESKOM AND UNION BUILDING, WHAT ABOUT SHELL HOUSE???:crying:" And various other reasonable explanations.

But it's always like this mos...
