Another outrageous blur of party and state was when the banks closed business for the Gupta's. Gwede Mantashe summoned all the bank's CEO's to Lootfree house to explain, which most ignored the order.

Cadre deployment where senior positions in government and SOE's are decided by Lootfree house are an example of party interference in state.

When Zuma was under the hammer, Mantashe as ANC SG issued an instruction that all ANC MP's must vote against it.

Please educate yourself; @Galactica says there's a line between party and state

Seriously? Bruv, tell that to the GLM.

At this point the true centre of power in SA isn't the Union Buildings or Parliament, it's ****ing Lootuli House...

I actually don't even think its Lootfreely House anymore... they're just the nexus of the fsckup.

Real power and decisions used to be made in Saxonwold where the ministers, senior government officials and SOE' deployees were summonsed with a line of cars waiting to get in.

Exactly, the true centre of power in SA atm.

If it was the UB or Parly that DA was marching to, ANC wouldn't have cared, but since DA is marching straight to their studio, they're rattled.

****ed, hey?

Now Luthuli House succeeded them.

A bit OT, but imagine you were an ANC MP/higher-up and all of a sudden one day you get a call from a random number at Saxonwold. Said caller congratulates you on becoming a Minister before even an announcement is made about a reshuffle or anything. I'd **** myself...

It is so ****ed to think how captured our government was at the time by just three rich Indian okes. And some people think that was the best era for SA...
