Do you know that ALL infrastructure is built with a design life? So you have to have a plan to replace them when they reach the end of their useful (safe) life. So now tell me how many of the power stations still in operation (or more aptly trying to) should have been decommissioned already?

This is where long term strategy planning comes in. The ANC is not capable of this at all. Proof is out there to see. Crumbling water infrastructure is commonplace these days. Like with the electricity the ANC was warned in the late 90's about the water problem.

They just ignored it. So now that their complete incompetence is proudly on display for all to see they want to start shifting the blame. Clearly their are those in this country that are stupid enough to fall for their bs. Appears you are one of those.
The point you are missing is that loadshedding is being caused by breakdowns at stations that are still within their usable lifespan, some are even new.

And for your information the maintenance of Eskom stations is the responsibility of Eskom not of a political party.

That's even worse. Speaks to the design excellence of the deployed cadres...

You can't maintain something that should already be scrap. It's also difficult to do when the government tells you to fire the competent people and hire idiots and proceed to steal all the funds that should buy the spares for the maintenance.
You really should think just a little deeper.

That doesn't actually negate his statement about them being scrap since they were designed poorly and built badly.

And they still don't have the funds required to do the required maintenance. Nor do they have they time because those in power saw no need to increase generation capacity. Then Eskom is forced to run them into the ground to save face for the ANC. Still lacking in not only critical, but any form of thinking.

So lose-lose? The ANC wants load shedding to continue otherwise they would join in the call to end to it...
At this point, they don't care about anything else than "time to eat".

The only reason why they're responding anyway is that they're getting hit with court cases and marches. And that severely demolishes their studio...

What does this mean? Can DA take over PMB yet?
Not yet no.

For ANC coalition to lose majority in PMB...

Seeing that they have 40/81 seats, they most likely have a coalition partner (probably ABC with two seats).

So for the ANC coalition to lose PMB, they need to lose two by-elections/wards. Since ABC's seats are purely PR.

Honestly what is this going to do or achieve? A bunch of people protesting how angry they are over this power situation? So what, who cares, tomorrow (the day after this) there will still be loadshedding and the idiots at eskom will just snicker at those angry peoples.

Tell there are serious and practical implications nothing will change. Want to end this loadshedding ****, start fining the polititions, the national gov level ministers, the fat ****ers that get exempt from it and don't feel any of the pains or implications of it. Start fining or docking pay from every eskom worker for every second of loadshedding. Till those in power and those doing the job start feeling in their pockets and feel the pain of it, far more than the average citizen, nothing will change.

We've gone from it being a matter of last resort when all other options have been exhausted to now a case of "meh, just loadshed" and being a normal first response action. **** them all, take away all bonuses and incentives. Not a single fukken sole working for Eskom should have recieved any kind of bonus in the last 5 years.

It's ovbious the only reason the anc give the slightest fuk about loadshedding now is because it hurts their election, not because of the damage to the country or increased risks on lives and livelihoods, no just their election. Make them feel the pain.

Getting the message across that load-shedding is bullshit and all thanks to ANC.

Of course, the protest won't solve load shedding itself, but something needs to be done, ey?
