I forgot it was the big day today, anyone here going to Luthuli House, either as an invader or the defender of the house
If I lived in CT or JHB, I would've definitely gone to bat for the away team (invader I guess). But I don't.

So I can only support...

And you think making the policy unconstitutional is going to remove the political protection?

Of course we have the laws, but we also have politicians, and their main aim is to fool everyone into believing they are truly committed to upholding the law, meanwhile they do just enough to stay on the legal side of things.

Advertising a position with clearly stipulated qualification requirements, then waive or lower the qualifications to accommodate your friend over other deserving candidates, that's what our politicians do with laws, abuse them to further their agenda whike shouting at the other party not to do the same.

I don't think a qualification is the be all and end all here. History has taught us that these can be "made to suite" There must be measurables in place. No place for faking it. Only politicians can get away with that. Civil servants should have ability over and above their qualifications. Those abilities are (and should be) measurable.

What's wrong with the other structures of the party in other cities? If CT and JHB can do it why can't the others?

I don't know maybe they're doing it in other places, but definitely not here where I live...

Perhaps the focus is just on the two?

Ok cool. But at least we agree on the cadre deployment problem and yes, solutions should be applied elsewhere as well.
In my view it ain't cadre deployment as such just that the ANC used it to place their incompetent and/or crooked chums and family into positions where they destroyed government departments, SOE's and municipalities. Simple third world 101.
