That generally implies a lot of money on his side.

What would be interesting is for the disclosure of the most prominent donors, however, I feel that there is a symbiotic relationship between these donors and the media, with some of the donors being part of the media and therefore no publication will be forthcoming. It's probably a good guess that Business Unity SA is somehow involved.
 
I must say... with so many parties popping up now, I'm looking forward to them changing the political landscape by consolidating into fewer and larger parties after the election. Or dying an embarrassing death.

No, the grand idea is that he forms a party, joins the Moonshot and he is elected the Moonshot leader.

I don't think he left the nice life in corporate to be under Steenhuisen. Looking at the media chorus singing his praises, the man surely has big money behind him, my feeling is that those who are behind him have grown tired with trusting politicians to be in control and want to directly control things.
 
I wonder if Mavuso Msimang has not been promised something decent to join this group, Murphy Morobe is joining, I doubt he will be the only former ANC veteran joining.

Also that R1bn will be a nice carrot to dangle in front of the other parties, especially if part of it were to be distributed equally. There's no way that somebody like the ACDP is going to say no to R90m or whatever...
