The SA Politics Thread Part 5

The notion that the DA just sit there helplessly as ANC cadres left behind dish tenders to their friends is exceptionally flawed.
As is the notion that the DA is in cahoots with Sodi, a known RET tenderpreneur. My theory is more likely, they were too incompetent to identify and fix the problem. And if they can't clean out the corrupt at municipal level, how are they going to fix it at a national level...

Did you know they also gave a tender to a well know Zuma benefactor in the Independent Republic? Are we also going to blame ANC cadres who were left behind in 2009 or whenever it was when the DA took over there?

I don't know what makes you think people like Sodi are incapable of having corrupt relationships with people from the ANC and the DA, that is in fact how those who are corrupt and clever do it, play both sides so that you can survive regardless who is in charge.

This is all very public info already and a waste of time. We've all seen the ANC cadres get redeployed time and time again from one failure to the next. You can piece this information together from news reports.

What exactly do the DA want to prove?

This is quite obvious.

It is election season so it is politiking to win votes.

I would take 5% corrupt party over 90% corrupt party and that is because I don't have choice.

It's called fit for purpose in the DA.

This is just a political stunt. In the same way, Trump wanted Hillary in jail.
It may be a political stunt to some level but if he's withheld records then he is in contempt of court and there is the zuma precedent of jail time.

ANC , we have a good story to tell...oh wait

South Africa had only addressed five of the 23 action items it needs to tick off before it can exit the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) grey list, the watchdog said on Friday. The FATF said SA must still show it can implement a modern and comprehensive strategy to counter the financing of terrorism.

The grey list is an index of around two dozen countries that are not fully compliant with international anti-money laundering and terrorist financing standards. African country Uganda was removed as they are now compliant

But I thought we said there were only 2 outstanding items?? Now we've only met 5?

FATF are clearly imperialist agents plotting regime change for WMC

Oh yeah, nothing like sitting on cold bricks or sand at school to feel truly connected to the broken service delivery promises.
Very valuable lessons to learn early in life. Make sacrifices, be humble and stay "grounded"!
Eish!
