Afrikaans is very seldom the mother tongue for anyone that is not white. You'd be hard-pressed to find a coloured sending their kids to an afrikaans schools.

Does that mean that their choice to be educated in said tongue be abolished? NO.

Vast swathes of the Western Cape and Northern Cape coloureds would like to have a word with you on their mother tongue.

Why do you think coloureds don't prefer sending their kids to Afrikaans schools if stats say they are the majority speakers of the language?

Yes, because I worry all day long everyday about what certain people on MyBB think of my posts.

Impartial or not, I don't care, there are some people who'll always have something nasty to say given you're attacking their favourite, the DA. I attack the ANC, EFF and others but I'm only "biased" when I attack the DA. :ROFL:

Just because they speak it, and speak it fluently, does not mean it is their mother tongue. We all know afrikaans is a huge part of Cape coloured culture but to pass it off as their mother tongue is disingenuous.

The vast majority of coloureds learn english at home first and foremost as well as attend english schools.
