Does the sheriff of the court usually announce his arrival a few days in advance?

Most of the assets are lodged in companies, it would be pretty hard to move it between tonight and tomorrow morning so it's not that risky.

But theoretically, it is stupid.

I was actually looking where is their private jet.

Last public flight I can see is Zurich to Basel on 19th December.

It flew several times since, the latest one being on January 3rd, but I can't see from where to where.

It's last flight was to Germany and thats where I think it got given back to the Canadian company or its designation has changed somehow but I think the former. Gupta's defaulted on loan

1.6bn seems suspiciously low given that we're talking state capture here and there being talk of them allegedly casually offering a 0.6bn bribe to the dude they wanted as finance min.

Might be only the SA assets (excluding Tegeta, New Age and ANN7 for which NPA would need to prove that the sale is bogus and this would take time).

If I was them, I would have sheltered everything overseas as soon as I would have heard of the bank accounts closure back in 2015.

Yep. Still if there is 1.6bn left in SA that to me would me vast amounts must have been removed from the country.

NPA boss doing something but not upsetting is big boss in a bid to hang onto his job. Will lol if Ramaphosa fails to remove him and Zuma washes his hands clean of state capture

50 bucks nothing happens to Guptas. This before elections, ANC can say "see we are prosecuting the Guptas. Yah. We are so bad ass, vote for the old ANC."

And then ANC still continues to plunder SA.
