If true it's wonderful news. It was recently reported that pods of Orcas (also known as killer whales) have attacked three or more Great White Sharks in three different spots in the Gansbaai area. But what's interesting is these Orcas have serious gastronomic and surgical skills as they removed only the Sharks liver and heart before leaving the intact carcasses to wash ashore.

Shark sightseeing operators have reported lesser sightings of Great Whites but whether this is seasonal or related to increased orca activity remains unknown.

The Great Whites only known predators apart from man are Orcas and these are crafty ninja teams of assassins who plan their attacks carefully

Some article somewhere mentioned that Great Whites were leaving in increasing numbers - sorry can't verify source

Orcas don't attack humans in the wild - the multitude of attacks have been in commercial performing .

Why would this be wonderful?
Because it will spell the end of chumming and shark cage diver operators around our shores
Because people will have more confidence to swim in the sea
Because white sharks have gotten too numerous over the past decade and swim too close to our shores
The seals don't eat all the fish pal. The Spanish and Chinese poach our waters since forever
We are Japan's unofficial southern tuna fishing port .
