I don't understand how people can want to sit at home all the time, not going out and being social. Humans are naturally social creatures! you don't need to drink to go out and have a great time, I have plenty friends who don't drink and sit with the drinkers, having just as much fun.

agh i laugh at the photos, signs of a live well spent here is my favorite quote "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming — Whoo Hoo — What a Ride!

I believe people that drink alcohol a lot, without going out or anything, finding it enjoyable to drink the stuff without getting drunk, are worse than me binge drinking every now and again.

I don't understand drinking at home / by yourself / infront of the TV / whenever when there is no intent on going out or something with friends. I only drink when an opportunity presents itself the odd weekend, when friends wanna go out, not whenever, not during the day, and not alone.

but, maybe thats just me - i'm not really a fan of the tastes of tequila/sambucca/beer/etc.

What's wrong with enjoying a glass of wine alone at night? Or whenever? Drinking doesn't have to be in a social environment; it could be whenever.

Agree completely! I don't like the fact that people get home from work and have a couple of beers in front of the tv ... personally think that turns into a problem over the years.

I have one glass of wine when I feel like it. Not everyone drinks to excess when they're alone.

To not be interested in a club means:

-You don't like loud music
-Not interested in packs of women (Hot women)
-Can't enjoy a drink/shooters
-Don't have many outgoing friends
-Can't dance / fear of dancing

I don't understand - what's not to like ?? =/

I hate loud music
I'm a girl who likes boys
I love whisky and wine. Shooters are evil.
Most of my friends are outgoing.
I don't see the point.

I come out of a liberal home aswell, and I turned out the opposite, I drink and smoke sure boo hoo evil **** I know..but I dont take drugs, treat my woman with a certain level of respect (she makes me believe I'm in control, she rocks for doing so)...dont drive when drunk, rarely ever get trashed anymore (university was a different story)..just dont understand how one can live socially locked away

Now see, people have different ideas about what it means to be social. Going to clubs isn't social; how many people do you meet there whom you would remember next week?

I meet my friends for coffee, I go to openings, launches and talks. I also go to the theatre and tweetups. Isn't that being social, too?

yep, even some of our "geeky" lady friends enjoy themselves to bits when they go along to truth.

I thought the new generation is supposed to be even MORE social - I guess it's this damn thing called the internetz..

We dont sit at home ALL the time (at least I dont ), but I dont feel the need to go out and party every weekend, heck, not even every month. I enjoy "chilling" if you will.

Oh, and about the non-drinkers sitting with the drinkers, last time we did that, there were 4 sober people, sat with 4 drunk people who ended up being thrown out of Monte Casino (wooo, what a great evening!)...

there is just no hope... :(

dude.....c'mon....... this is sounding worse every minute...

I spend way to much time on it, realized when I log onto it there is nothing more to do then add friends , post photos and make a silly comment on someone's wall every now and then, totally pointless and 1 less responsibility for me :>

youre totally right. People now talk via facebook/msn etc, it means they don't need to get dressed and go out to be "social". All the while I think its lowering peoples self esteem, and is a real problem for generations to come. I believe people must get out there and enjoy themselves, not sit on the internet (rich since we're all sitting on the net now) but yeah.

I also go to the theatre. Isn't that being social, too?

sitting in a dark room with 2 hours of silence isn't really social - the reason why i would NEVER take a new girl to the movies.

having a few drinks with your friends, laughing, doing silly stuff and seeing who can drink shots with a straight face is social. Dancing and Music has been Social for 100's of years, when we formed tribes...

yet you dont get it, I rarely get drunk anymore lately, not about that, its about meet in a general spot with your friends, unwinding..its a place no one expects you to conform. and remember allot of people, and people remember me
my group of friends grow exponentially..even made valluable bussiness contacts while out partying.
but whatever works for you, like i said a milllion times tonight my girl doesnt drink yet she drags me out to "Aandklass to meet up with friends, and my friends arent all hardcore all really just conformed nerds turned social..and having a blast..enjoying the last remaining bits of our youths every night addiing new memorys.

I actually dated someone who only wanted to sit on the net, had no interest in going out or doing anything that meant him being away from the pc. Needless to say it ended and I dated someone I met while jolling haha.
