Enjoyed s02e11. Laughed more than usual.
Was quite funny that comment from Hammond,

"Don't you think your following him too closely"

But the ending, not sure what they trying to say? All celebs are twats who visit a poor African village to gawk at the poor people?

Or was it an ironic ending, like Argentina where they got stoned and chased away, when they tried to help build a stadium and befriend locals?

Or was it, due to the accidents and such, they had to quickly cobble together an "ending" to satisfy Amazon bosses, that didn't like them crashing cars and catching severe illness.

I agree eg2505. I didn't like the episode, the more I thought about it. Firstly the fish got tortured to death. Then all that food got wasted, in a desperately poor country. Everybody made the typically stupid decisions for cheap laughs. And worst of all, at the end they achieved nothing to help the people they'd claimed they were trying to.

Only foxhound could turn a Grand Tour special into a complaint they aren’t Oxfam or Doctors Without Borders...

Surprised you haven’t complain they didn’t disconnect their brake lights or add a yellow colour cast to the entire film and also the fact they failed to serve chocolate kotch pizza as well.

Enjoyed parts the episode but I feel that something like poverty and malnutrition shouldn't be played for laughs. Perhaps they donated food to the village or paid them significant amounts of money (off camera)to use their village but as it played out it felt in bad taste...

They would have paid location fees and quite likely payments to any locals in the segment.

I didn't like this episode. I consider it to be the weakest of the series.

Little things like the bickering between May and Clarkson. Previously, it was friendly banter. You could see that they were still friends and would still have a beer together. They'd prank each other, but it was always harmless fun.

In this episode, they didn't seem that friendly with each other. Not that the pranks hurt anyone, but they seemed to have some intent behind.

It also seemed a bit too scripted. Or, too obviously scripted. Like, Hammond falling over all the time. I can believe that in mud, but not in the dirt. Not when travelling at a stable speed.

I much prefer the Namibia episode and the Botswana adventure.

If it were Oxfam, they would have been trading rice for sex, rather than carting fish around.....

Don’t give foxmoan something else to complain about!

But yes, rice is probably easier to carry than fish ;)
