Odd... So this is fake news....
Trio ending things?

No, it’s quite accurate.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have confirmed they’re ditching studio car shows like The Grand Tour and Top Gear after 17 years.

The trio recently wrapped up filming on The Grand Tour’s third season, where it’s reported Clarkson told audiences it was ‘the end of an era’.

According to The Sun, Clarkson, Hammond and May will abandon the studio car show format to focus on ‘big-budget specials’, which will be shown over the next two years.

Season 4 will be travel specials, not studio shows aka no more tent.

but yes, they are only human, at some point they will have to throw in the towel, Jeremy is almost 60.

Did you read the article? They aren’t stopping the show, just the studio elements they have had in the past

End of an era: The Grand Tour host Clarkson calls time on 'studio' shows, Hammond and May follow suit

Former host of the hugely-successful Top Gear show, Jeremy Clarkson, announced he will opt out of doing any studio-based motoring shows, according to British newspaper reports.

Clarkson, along with Richard Hammond and James May, currently host Amazon Prime's The Grand Tour. The Mirror reported that at the end of filming of their third season , an emotional Clarkson told the audience: "it's the end of an era".

An audience member says Clarkson's girlfriend Lisa Hogan and his two daughters were in the studio when the 58-year-old made the announcement.

The former BBC broadcaster also said his two co-hosts would leave with him, the trio have all signed a two-year deal with Amazon to produce big budget Hollywood-style motoring films, according to the Daily Mail.

Clarkson was booted off Top Gear after a producer accused the burly presenter of punching, allegedly for having a physical altercation with Oisin Tymon who failed to get a steak for Clarkson and was subsequently only offered cold cuts at the hotel where the crew stayed after filming.

Stupid story, written badly. No wonder Clarkson thought he had to tweet.

End of the road for Clarkson, Hammond and May studio shows

They've spent more than 15 years entertaining crowds with their amusing car reviews and witty banter.

But Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have revealed that they will no longer present studio shows after finishing filming the third season of Amazon Prime’s The Grand Tour.

Instead, they will return for a fourth season with a focus on big budget episodes filmed on the road.

Clarkson, 58, told The Sun: "I will miss the banter with each other and with the audience. But we’ve been doing that show for effectively 17 years - sitting around in studios, watching cars race around the track. There are only so many times you can watch a BMW go round the track - what more can you say? It’s got four wheels and a seat."

Amazon also said it will develop new shows with each of the presenters individually.

Fans of the traditional format still have a whole new season to look forward to, with Season 3 making its streaming debut on Amazon Prime from 18 January 2019.

The preview video (below) shows the usual, tried-and-tested mix of pranks, insults and stunts that fans have come to love (and others to loathe), plus there’s a penis-shaped snow track thrown in for good measure.

The so-called “epic challenges” took the team to locations like Detroit, the Nevada desert, Mongolia, China, Sweden and Scotland, among others, for the latest series.
