My area has had an influx of refugees. Apparently they don't pay tax (hearsay, I haven't bothered to check if this is true) but they're able to buy 1 million rand or more cars, 2 properties next to each other that they combine and rebuild, and spend lots of money on things like drones and quad bikes, and have Mr Delivery hooting outside their gate every 2nd night. If they've got so much money to burn, and they don't yet pay tax, shouldn't they be able to contribute?

How do they earn money, are they employed locally?

One of the family's told me they work for another refugee family's business. Another family supposedly flips houses - they paid cash for the house. I don't know about the others.

Dear President: if you make promises... the AnC is a promise! Zero delivery since 1994!
