The Tools and other D.I.Y bargains thread

Before I send these back to Takealot:

Does anyone have any interest in an Ingco nail gun, Ingco 140mm Circular saw or an Ingco blower (all cordless)

Happy to part them out (at a cheaper than retail tool only rate) to cover some of my costs (I'd probably keep the batteries) and sell on the rest, or send them all back to Takealot (as the seller reduced the price and I re-ordered).

Based in CPT.

Some decent bag prices here (compared to the Ingco's I've seen):

Anyone have a review on their bags (particularly the hard shell bottom ones / the one on wheels)?

They even sell clothing, their organiser boxes are very cheap and stackable:

Has anyone tried the Ingco or Total cordless pressure washer tool?

Oh ok you were referring to Takealot 30 day return window not the warranty, that's what got me.
Sorry, I meant "Hassle-Free Exchanges & Returns for 30 Days" - I heard many sellers are gatvol of this and I understand why as there must be many frivolous returns causing them to lose their profit.

It’s not so much the lost profit it’s people using the item and/or damaging the packaging which makes the returned item unsaleable and Takealot makes the seller take that on the chin.

Eish. I always feel bad when returning products because no matter how I try, there is no way I can fix packaging to be in pristine condition. But on the other side, at times, one receives package as damaged too and I can only imagine sellers passing on the returned products.

Tool & Home cancelled both of my orders. Got a message from Takealot that they can no longer source my products - yet they're still selling them as of today at a much higher price... skelms.

How hard do you think it's going to be to get a refund from Takealot now....

That's cool - although the R250 shipping charge is annoying - unless you're planning to bulk order things...

They must have got the price horribly wrong, just the skill saw and battery/charger is R2500.
Apparently Takealot penalises sellers quite heavily if they cancel orders.
Nope - but I'm curious if you do buy it - do a review.

Cheapest I can see is:
Would be really handy, it only uses 2.2L minute so you could run it for almost 25mins off a 50L container of water, that's assuming it doesn't need a pressurised feed.

I got one for bike washing at the track

Put the pipe supplied in can of water and off you go

Mine came with battery and charger, searched around online think I paid 2k

This is not a 220v powerful unit, but the portability makes it great

Nice, what kind of pressure is it, how would it compare to decent household tap pressure through a Gardena nozzle and what is the runtime like?
