Don't rely on the lazer
I've been quite happy with the lazer on my metabo, but I haven't done any super precision work with it. The line of the lazer itself is also a mm or so thick - so I imagine it would be problematic for finer work.

I've got that metabo. Use the lazer just as a rough guide - then line up with the blade itself.

I don't know this brand at all - are they any good?
It's not consider as high end level but, the brand is good value for money.. you can consider it equivalent to Bosch blue, to put it in SA terms..

Considering the normal prices for the likes of Stanley, Metabo for 254mm mitre saw, this is a good deal..

Will of course test the accuracy of cutting etc when I get mine delivered..

A fair few woodworking YouTubers o follow also rave about the brand..

I also use the blade for dead nuts accuracy.. you can adjust the Lazer to get it more accurate, it has a little set screw if I remember, that you loosen and it moves around.. played a bit with it but I don't have the patience to do that when I can just line up with the blade..

This. I played with it a little but don't trust the thing.

Jet 254mm sliding compound mitre saw for R3495..!!!! From topdog toolshop..

Too good to pass up and I bought one to replace my 216mm mitre saw..

Either these guys did not get very many black Friday orders or they are 100% on the ball.. they just shipped my mitre saw out..

Where would be the best place to find a folding trolley like this?

Builders sell for R1700, but it is a bit pricey.

Size: 510 x 457 x 1143mm

It may seem like a waste to spend so much but my one from builders has been worth the spend. Have moved a few items alone that I would have needed to get help with, which costs beer

Absolutely worth the investment. I just suddenly had a lot of unplanned expenses.
