Saw a couple today. At about 599
Those are the lighter rated ones, still very nice. I had one that was R699, higher weight rating and it was very well made and folded up to almost nothing.

Unless you need to move cement bags or fridges they should work for most jobs.

That's a hand truck, the one that was posted earlier and that I got is called something like a folding bull nose trolley. Mine folded up tiny it was amazing.

The one you have posted there are also really nice, they don't fold up as small but they are easier to move loose things, good deal at that price.

My bull nose trolley I had a plastic crate tied on to it and then I filled that with the loose bits, I could stack 3 x 30L Roughtote boxes and manoeuvre all over with them. So it depends on what you want to move and over what terrain, the hand truck won't do so well over rough ground whereas the bull nose is fine in the rough, even dragging it up and down stairs.

So, received my Jet mitre saw today and played around with it a bit..

Out of the box, it's almost dead nuts accurate.. the blade in relation to fence and surface of the saw was within 0.5 degrees or less of square with each other, which is plenty accurate.. the Lazer line was also dead nuts accurate, although be it on the wrong side of the blade.. was off exactly the same distance as the kerf of the blade.. this can be adjusted though..

I did have to adjust the marker for the mitre adjustment, was just a smidge off.. only really an issue when you are cutting at non-common angles, as 0,22.5,45 angles etc are all click in place..

As for the finishing work and overall craftsmanship, this is where they cheap out.. it's not terrible but, it is very noticeable that they are cutting costs in this regard.. the support slide for the body is plastic, where on most other mitre saws it's cast as part of the main body.. doesn't detract from functionality or longevity at all, just a cost saving measure on the casting.. a few places where there is slight paint overspray and the casting is a little rough..

Considering the lack of craftsmanship and plastic bits, I imagine these have a lower normal price point in the US, verus it's normal price point here, which runs around the R5.5k mark..

I would be a little depressed spending that much to find the craftsmanship lacking as it does, but I am very happy with the machine considering what I paid for it..

As a side note, I might have to upgrade the breaker feeding my garage.. the start draw on this thing is insane, making my garage lights flash..

Expanded my Ingco collection as well, couple extra 4Ah batteries and the 20v cordless range works just great for around the house DIY type stuff.

Also I never knew how much I needed an impact driver until I got one, and now I can't imagine ever getting around without it before.

Hi guys, are these ladders and good/safe for general DIY use? View attachment 1203904
I've had one for a few years now that has held up well, and I'm 100kg.
Saw quite a bit of use when I did renovations as half the builders didn't own a ladder so used mine.

Just don't buy the cheapest one you can find, and be 100% sure to check that they are securely locked in place when using. Falling from 3m is not fun, I've tried it... wouldn't recommend.

That's the thing, I have seen someone fall from the ladder collapsing. Then again not sure if it was locked properly or just crappy quality...

I bought one at Builders about 2 years ago. Still going strong. Almost fell off once, but was me who didn't lock it properly.

I have one I got from makro, can't remember the brand name now.. I am a hefty 125kg and have been using it for well over a year now in the various configurations and has not collapsed yet..
